Our story

Qno – The beginning

Qno was founded the fall in 2023 by Tobias, Lene and Stian - each with an entrepreneurial background. The  company was initially founded to deliver contract development services. We combined the core teams expertise in project management, product- and application development and quality management, with high-quality development teams in Poland. 

In its first year, Qno delivered the EasyReq project. Developed from idea to finished software in just seven months for the newly established company EasyReq AS.

The Idea for AcSus takes shape

In parallel with project development, the idea of AcSus emerged. When the EU introduced new sustainability standards, we noticed many actors creating carbon calculators and reporting tools. However, through discussions with industrial companies it became clear that the true need was elsewhere. SMEs were looking for a practical daily tool that could gather and reuse data across processes, generate everyday insights, and meet various reporting requirements.

Concept development for AcSus began in spring 2024, in close collaboration with partners and with thorough analysis of reporting standards and operational needs

Qno goes All-in on AcSus 

In autumn 2024, Qno chose to end contract development and focus entirely on building AcSus. The team expanded with Line, and in early 2025 we secured our first investor - Holms Eftf.  

Since then, the solution has evolved from concept to functional mock-ups. Developed and tested with our industrial partners. A hyper-modular back-end architecture has been built for maximum flexibility and scalability, powering ML and AI.

The core is built and we're getting close...

The architecture we have built enables multi-connection of data and context. This makes it possible to reveal how processes, risks, opportunities and impact are interconnected - and to uncover insights that would otherwise remain hidden.

We are now building the front-end, and are exited to soon having pilots in operational testing.
